Many shared pathways where cars and cyclists come together will be painted from next month with sharrows. These markings will appear on many streets, but only after residents in the selected streets have been told of the initiative. The sharrows serve as a reminder to both parties that the road way is shared and each should be mindful of the safety of the other.
