Speed cameras make money
Interesting to see that the speed camera at Goodwood PS on Goodwood Rd is such a revenue raiser. What is frightening is that people continue to speed, even through what is a thriving and busy shopping street and past a school. This seems to have taken over from the camera on South Rd next to Black Forest PS, once again the last place that cars should be speeding! Yes, they make money but they also save lives.

can't agree Jennie...first & foremost it is just about impossible to speed on goodwood road near the primary school/foodland during office hours due to the sheer volume of traffic...
ReplyDeletesecondly...to have a short section of 50 kph in a 60 zone is always gonna trick ppl...it is so easy to forget this restriction, especially at night when there are no pedestrians around & cruise through @ 60kph...
all up...a curse & a lucrative & unethical net for the state government....
