This is your chance to ask the hard questions; Harmony Day

THE CITY OF UNLEYLIBRARIES

To honour the spirit of Harmony Day, this year we are giving you the chance to ask those questions, to bring up the difficult topics and to start a conversation that can enrich you and your community.
‘I think there is no point in being scared of bringing things up. I think it is fine, we can talk about things, we can explore things, see the point of view of another person. And in that posture of learning, if you go to a dialogue without any agenda and with an open mind that I am actually going to learn something from this person, then you will.’
 - Dr Roshanak Amrein

This week
Wow...this week, behind the scenes, has been a little crazy. As you can see above we have some big events coming up before the end of the month. The Events and Promotions teams have been working hard to put together a valuable and useful opportunity for our community. We hope you will take advantage and join in the discussion.

Of course, that is not all that is happening. For the first three days of this week, we had a fabulous attendance at our Adelaide Writers' Week live streaming and some great feedback.

Thank you to the Unley branch of Bendigo Bank for providing our customers with fantastic insight into the safety and features of internet banking yesterday as part of our Reboot Digital Literacy Program. See below for another learning opportunity and check out our Reboot webpage for a full listing of classes.

This weekend we have the Adelaide Male Voice Choir and their Fringe event 'Another G&S for you, Sir and Madam!', another sparkling serve from the Gilbert and Sullivan repertoire. Tickets for the Sunday 11 March, 3 - 4pm event in the Unley Town Hall are available from FringeTIX, phone 1300 621 255 or adelaidefringe.com.au

And keep an eye out for more, I'm hoping to release a new events brochure next week.

Unley Libraries is closed on Monday for Adelaide Cup Day, and we hope you all have a fantastic long weekend.

Best wishes,
Ruth
