Time to put up

Nominations open tomorrow for the upcoming Council elections. They will remain open until now until the 18th September. I will definitely be renominating for a further term. At a recent candidates meeting there were a lot of eager people ready to give it a go. The experience of running and losing can be character building, if nothing else. While running and winning is exhilarating and rewarding even with the enormous responsibility of what comes with it. It was good to see a lot of women ready to give it a go this time as well.  On a day to day basis you will be able to view a notice board of who has nominated and in which ward. Given the high number of incumbents choosing not to renominate there will be at least 6 new Council members come November.
