Smoking Bans Imminent

Council will have the power to ban smoking in many of it's public places from the 31st May. The article in today's paper made interesting reading. I called for a report on this matter early last year and not only did Council pick up on it so did the state government. Smoking will be banned at that time from all areas where children play and bus stops. I am waiting for a report from staff as to where staff are up to with preventing smoking in other areas.
