There's a dog under every tree.

I read with interest this morning a story about selling the rights to bury the dog in public places and then select a tree to plant at the site. The dog provides the fertilizer, the tree costs the Council nothing and someone also makes money selling the location and the trees to the grieving family. Sounds like a win: win for everyone and is to be investigated by Holdfast Bay Council. A few years ago one of Unley's Councillor suggested selling memorial sites for human ashes in our parks and everyone  was outraged. I wonder how far this will go?
