Swimming Pools ;proposed legislation

 Below is the link to the proposed legislation to improve swimming pool safety.

 This will takes you to the proposals to be debated. Council needs input into it's response.

There are potentially significant implications for Local Government discussed in the Paper including:
  • Regular inspections of swimming pools
  •  Who inspects? (private consultant or council)
  • Cost recovery of inspection
  • Council  having a swimming pool inspection policy
  •   Registration of swimming pools – Council based register?
  • Requirements for upgrade to current standards
 If you would like to share your thoughts on this one I can use these to better inform Council's response.
