Building approvals Down 10%; No Not Unley's

The above article in the Eastern Courier  describes a reduction in building approvals in the inner suburbs, while Unley had a slight down turn it was no where near 10% (about 6%).  The data is as follows;

2012 Decision Date Range:
888 -      total approvals

2013 Decision Date Range:
827 -      total approvals

 Only 2% of applications were refused and even some of these were later approved by the ERD Court. The downturn has far more to do with economic conditions than any fault on behalf of planning. Also makes me wonder how Unley can be doing so badly with new building approvals when the largest development currently under construction in Fisher Street contains 189 residences (they probably counted these a one)
