Community meeting : 20th Jan

This meeting proved to be a good opportunity for residents to again tell their stories about the ongoing issues with caused by the train upgrades. The list includes;

  • The freight train squeal, speed and fumes
  • The Fairfax Ave crossing and the noise from the warning alarms
  • The graffiti management in both corridors
  • The colour of the gantry at Clarence Park station
  • The height of fencing along the lines and greenways project although some of this is now being done
  • The moving of the passing loop for the Belair line without any visual or sound mitigation to Arundel Ave residents
  • The completion of the Cranbrook Ave gates and path
  • Landscaping plans for areas denuded or degenerated by the DPTI works
  • the tooting of trains
This time I felt that we were closer to getting an undertaking from  the Liberals that may help to fix some of these problems if they are elected in March.
